2026 China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program

;In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generations, and to build a platform for the international exchanges and cooperation of young talents, the China Scholarship Council (CSC)has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students and faculties hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China.
I. Program Scheme
1. Funding Categories
General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or master students.
Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph.D students or faculty.
2. Duration: 1-12 months. Studying in China should start no later than August 31, 2027.
3. Language of Study: English or Chinese, depending on the program provided by Central South University.
4.Study/Research Fields: All disciplines other than Chinese language study.
II. Funding
Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including a tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and a monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).
III. Eligibility
1. A Non-Chinese citizen, with good moral character and academic excellence and in good health, both mentally and physically.
2. Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.
3. Be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC's foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China.

4. Have received either the pre-admission letter issued by Central South University.
IV. Application Materials
1. The homepage of the passport, and the page of the latest Chinese visa (If any).
2. Study certificate or employed certificate issued by their current schools.
3. Stamped transcripts of highest degree. Those transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending university's academic affairs office, graduate school, or student management department.

5. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the non-criminal records report issued by the public authority at current residency; Applicants staying in China less than 6 months could upload

6. Valid HSK\IELTS\TOEFL Transcript or other documents to prove your linguistic competence.
7. Study Plan in Chinese or English, at least 500 words.

V. Application Process
1. Apply online on CSU application system. Register and log in to the CSU international student online system (https://csu.17gz.org/member/login.do), select Chinese Government Scholarship-general/senior visiting student, and submit the application.
2. Applicants should log into the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete CSC online application and upload supporting documents. For the online application guide, please refer to

3. The applicants should submit the application to Central South University at least 3 months before the beginning of their studies.
4. Central South University will notify the scholarship admission results to applicants and prepare admission materials.
